'transset' issues

Hello developers,

some questions and proposals on 'transset'.

1. The latest transset source code is still on CVS and not on Arch, right?

2. transset is currently only a tool for testing translucency, isn't it?
I mean, everytime you want to change the transparency of a window,
you have to start transset and click on the target window.
This does not seem acceptable to me. If there is no other way
(just a wild guess: you cannot set translucency via Xresources,
can you?) to assign translucency automatically, I'd like to extend
transset so it can be called thus:

'transset' -wmclass XMMS_Playlist 0.75

which would be very useful in scripts (think 'xmms; transset ...').

3. Also, transset is not autotooled ATM. Another task?

4. Why isn't it called 'xtransset'? Seems more sensible to me for
an application only usable with an X server.

Kind regards,

Leslie
