So you think that 855resolution would work even though this box has the 
915g chipset?

I think the BIOS mode needed for that resolution was listed right after 
that i810 driver detection section I listed.  Would this help any?

I'm sorry for my (probably) lame questions.  I'm trying to get this 
Linux box to do what Windows already can and it's frustrating.  I'd just 
put in a simple graphics card to avoid all of this, but the $?#?#$ Dell 
box has no AGP port (just something that looks kind of close to it).  I 
know very little about the workings of X, but I'm more than happy to 
do/try whatever any of you suggest that'll help solve this.  If I'm 
posting to the wrong list, please let me know the right list I should be 
posting these questions on.
