I am not able to set 1280x768 resolution in my system

Hi,

         I am having a Samsung 17 inch LCD Monitor with Intel graphics
card. And i am not able to set 1280x768 resolution in my system.My
Linux is SuSE 9.2 . I tried editing XF86Config file. Also i tried it
with Yast Tool. But i am not able to set 1280x768 resolution. I am
able to set 1280x1024 or 1024x768 resolution, not able to set any
resoltuion in between them like 1280x768 or 1152x864 etc


         Can anybody tell me how to set 1280x768 resolution in my system.
