Further debug bug 3289 mgp (magicpoint) crashes Xorg

How do I best procede in helping to get 
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3289 fixed?
	mgp (magicpoint) crashes Xorg

Any crash in the server seems to be a serious bug to me.
I guess I need a developer to recreate it, as I am not familiar with
the code to actually come up with useful next debugging steps.

What could I try?
