Have a look at http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110299 .  That 
link should still be valid for the Gentoo ebuild and patch.  Just 
uncompress it somewhere and grab the patch; hopefully it'll still work 
on the latest version of the driver.
