Composite + Xorg-6.8.2 window resizing artifacts

I guess this is a kwin/kdecoration issue - fixed with kde3.5 (at least - maybe 
earlier) but remains in some 3rd party decos.
to be sure, simply use a dec that does not make use of the shape extension 
(i.e. has not rounded edges) - so one may blame the shape vs. damage 
extensions as well ;)
