To Whom It May Concern, Respectfully:

My ubuntu operating system fails to boot properly.
The error message I get is the following (I have read the FAQ and am  
unable to apply any of the solution attempts offered):

"Failed to start the X Server (your graphical interface). It is likely  
that it is not set up correctly."

I am clueless as to how to even begin reconfiguring the X Server. I do  
know a bit about how to get around within the ubuntu console.
