That probably explains why my HD monitor with native 1280x768 res produces
an off center picture with a black bar on the left. Are there other close
res choices that will give 60hz with the 915res hack?

The same laptop does 1280x768x60 fine from windows, but I really wanted to
use Linux and either xine or mthtv.
