This sounds like https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1992 ,
however...

... this doesn't but rather sounds related to colour tiling or
something. Does Option "ColorTiling" "off" work around this? If not, are
the symptoms permanent or intermittent? Can you get a screenshot of
this?
