The Ti3025 DAC isn't supported in the i128 driver.  Relevant bug:

It used to work in XFree86 3.3.6, or at least that's my reading of the code, 
but I haven't even attempted to build that recently.  You'll need to either 
use a different card, or re-add support for that DAC.  Or, you know, wait for 
me to get around to it, but I wouldn't hold my breath, i128 is mostly just a 
hobby for me.

Also, X is modular now, you really shouldn't need to rebuild the whole world 
just to build one new driver.  Ubuntu should have packages available for 
supplying the necessary build infrastructure.  In Fedora Rawhide it'd be:

# yum -y install xorg-x11-server-sdk

but I don't happen to know the corresponding magic for Ubuntu offhand.
