No idea what's the problem so I guess adding EXTRA_DIST = ChangeLog to 
Makefile.am isn't enough?

Please make 1.2.1 release then - current one is unusable.

http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/ also doesn't work properly (overloaded?)

Does git allow fetching single file from repository?
