What features good 2D acceleration graphic chip should have?

Hello,

What features good 2D acceleration graphic chip driver for xorg should have?
I heard about extensions/apis: XRender, XCursor (argb, animation), XAA/EXA, 
Java2D, Xv, XvMC. Is this full, true list of things which can be accelerated 
or I missed something?

I need such list to compare present/future gfx drivers to choose best one for 
me.
