Multiple monitor configuration

I have a Macbook Pro (which has ATI Mobility Radeon X11600 chipset) on
which I dual boot Mac OS-X and Fedora Core 6.
I use the fglrx video driver.
When I run with just the laptop display, I have no problems setting up
xorg.conf so that I get the full resolution of 1440x900.
However, I have two external monitors (one at work and one at home)
which support different resolutions and cannot come up with
configurations which will drive the monitors at their native
resolutions.
The monitor I have at home is a LCD which supports 1280x1024 @ 60Hz.
The monitor I have at work is a Dell 2405FPW which supports 1920x1200 @
60Hz.
I actually came up with a xorg.conf that sort of worked with the dell in
xinerama mode, but the mouse pointer (fine on the laptop display)
appeared as a giant square on the dell monitor. (My guess is that it was
using the pixmap for the smaller display on the larger display).
The home configuration with the laptop and the 1280x1024 lcd I have not
been able to get to work at all.
I have done dual head configs in the past that have worked, but the
monitors had the same resolution unlike the situation I have now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
