RFC: Video decode acceleration API

Sorry for the late answer. I'd just like to note it doesn't look like an 
X api but more like a cross-platform one which could adapt to X.
Also, I know of a piece of Software (german only - 
http://www.informatik.tu-freiberg.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=42&Itemid=70), 
which does quite overlap. I don't know however if there are ambitions to 
contribute it to Xorg. Just FYI.
