Display w/ bogus EDID + intel-2.0.0.0

Hello everyone.

I'm operating a 22" widescreen LCD via my Intel DG965WH's analog output. The display, an Optiquest Q22wb, does not report correct EDID data via the D-SUB connector, and therefore the driver won't provide me with the desired resolution of 1680x1050px. Is there any way to force a given res and refresh, no matter what infos the display provides to the driver?

(Running Feisty with X ver. 7.2.0, unofficial Feisty packages for video-intel-2.0.0.0 installed)
