Intel drivers status and future?

Do you guys know if Intel is going to allocate more resources for the
development of the current video drivers for Linux?

I am asking because it seems there are lots of bugs like:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11305
and the current 2.x driver will not be production quality ever as the
current pace.
