I need help configuring 1440x900 wide screen LCD on an integrated Intel
display adapter.
Attached is xorg.0.log. I'm running Fedora core 6, with stock xorg 7.1 and
stock KDE.
I'm also attaching my current xorg.conf - but note this is only the last
variation on a theme.
The controller is identified as:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82G965 Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 02) (prog-if 00 [VGA])
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Unknown device 514d
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
Memory at 90200000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1M]
Memory at 80000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
I/O ports at 2410 [size=8]
Capabilities: [90] Message Signalled Interrupts: 64bit- Queue=0/0
Enable-
Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2
I've been trying to configure this for the past week. Read anything google
conjured. I saw that the problem is pretty
widespread among all kinds of Linux distros, including Ubuntu FC RedHat and
also BSD, and could not find any definitive answer, or
an answer that worked.
The xorg.log has
(II) I810(0): Not using mode "1440x900" (no mode of this name)
Thanks,
Naim
