Hi Daniel,

I'm really sorry to hear that the input transformation issue will not be
resolved in the nearest future. That's a real bummer for us wanting to have
the same behaviour for our extended InputDevices in 1.4 as in 1.3.

As this would be our situation for both 1.4 and 1.5 now, I'm thinking if it's
possible to do something (without an interface change) that would get back at
least part of the behaviour that we had before.

So.. If I can make a patch that don't have an effect on any interface
(smallest change possible), would that be acceptable as an interim solution?
The current reporting limits are severly limiting the usabillity of extended
input devices with absolute axis at the moment, and I can't see it would
break anything if we did something about this (I consider the current
situation broken to be honest)

Cheers
  Magnus
