problems with cross compiling X11R7.1 for ARM

hi,

did any one tried compiling X11 7.1 for ARM platform. I am using
gnu-linux-gcc 2.95.3 version toolchain.
As per the developerguide provided in the x.org, I downloaded the source
code using git and patche files to be applied to lib, util and libX11
directory. But these patches fails to apply.
