xv brightness/contrast/color/hue with xf86-video-intel modesetting

I want to use the Xvideo picture adjustments on a 945GM. I've tried both
the older i810 driver 1.7.2 that comes with Suse 10.2 and the latest git
xf86-video-intel modesetting code.

xvinfo against the i810 driver shows

       "XV_COLORKEY" (range 0 to 16777215)
               client settable attribute
               client gettable attribute (current value is 66046)
       "XV_BRIGHTNESS" (range -128 to 127)
               client settable attribute
               client gettable attribute (current value is 0)
       "XV_CONTRAST" (range 0 to 255)
               client settable attribute
               client gettable attribute (current value is 64)

and xine and mplayer can set brightness and contrast but neither color
or hue.

With the intel driver xvinfo shows

       "XV_COLORKEY" (range 0 to 16777215)
               client settable attribute
               client gettable attribute (current value is 66046)
       "XV_BRIGHTNESS" (range -128 to 127)
               client settable attribute
               client gettable attribute (current value is 0)
       "XV_CONTRAST" (range 0 to 255)
               client settable attribute
               client gettable attribute (current value is 64)
       "XV_SATURATION" (range 0 to 1023)
               client settable attribute
               client gettable attribute (current value is 128)

but xine and mplayer can't set any of brightness, contrast, color, or hue.

Is this a known issue?
