Xorg 1.1.1 + Mesa 6.5.2 = White screens with i810 driver and beryl/compiz

There is another patch that goes with that one. They are both attached
to: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8991

If you start beryl or compiz you will get an error about it not being
able to bind to pixmap.

For me, even after appling the above patch, I still have the main
problem of everything being white.


That said, you could also be getting stung by the same problem as me,
which it is now clear is a Mesa bug as commented on:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9456
