Problems with i810 and randr-1.2

Hi,

after reading in this list a message with the branches needed for the
new randr-1.2, i've checkout out everything needed to give it a try. But
after calling xrandr i get:

hawkes at ela:~$ xrandr --verbose
xrandr: output default cannot use rotation "normal" reflection "none"

Any ideas?
