[PATCH 0/4] fix xprint config dir variable

Trivial patches, fix/improve handling of the xprint configuration
directory variable. Please let me know if something is wrong
with any of these.

BTW, they're splitted as they were committed in my branch. What's preferred
by you xorg developers in cases like these? A bigger patch with all changes
summarized or small patches? They're related, but make sense individually.

(I like a bigger granularity because it's easier to review and apply
only a small set of them).
