HELP! mergedfb was failed in radeon driver with xorg 1.3

hi,
     my iBook-G4 with radeon 9550 card, mergedfb run very well with
xf86-video-ati-6.6.3 . but after i upgrade with git yesterday,
mergedfb failed with   xorg 1.3. i think it may be a bug in git, i
found too much code was changed after 6.6.3. any one can give me a
tip, patch is very welcome
