As there is not too much comment w. regrds to the above-mentioned, I'll
follow-up myself here...

I've filed a bug regarding the behavior under:
	https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11587

The commit is about a month old and we'd love to stay with git HEAD for
xserver, as we are awaiting another bug fix to come; so we'd like to
simply revert the above-mentioned commit for our builds.

Is anyone aware of things which could/would break if we'd do that?
First observation & small-scale testing did not reveal any undesired
behavior, but I'm not sure there aren't pitfalls showing up in special
situations only...

The commitdiff for the commit we'd rather not like to have in our build
can be viewed here:
http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/xserver.git;a=commitdiff;h=8e5102b9f01821048e72e7f068193a0b3e1816f9;hp=87564543d92c1ee1f8cb6fb9716a15d693e08cf5
but as I have no idea of the internals related to it, I'd be glad for
commentary.
