I've got a couple of modelines which I would like to try for TV
(component/HDTV) output.
Modeline "1280x720x25" 83.700 1280 1780 1828 2176 720 751 754 769 +hsync +vsync
ModeLine "1920x1080" 74.250 1920 2008 2052 2200 1080 1084 1094 1124 interlace +hsync +vsync
They are accepted for VGA or DVI output, but for TV out the log shows
(II) intel(0): Not using mode "1920x1080" (bad mode clock/interlace/doublescan)
(II) intel(0): Not using mode "1280x720x25" (bad mode clock/interlace/doublescan)
Compared to the built-in 1280x720 mode the dotclock is a lot higher;
(II) intel(0): Modeline "1280x720"x25.0 25.90 1280 1281 1344 1376 720 721 752 753 (18.8 kHz)
Halving the dot clock on my mode makes it acceptable, but for both the
built-in mode and mine the picture is 80% invisible off the left of the
screen. The built-in 1024x768 is nicely centered though.
(II) intel(0): Modeline "1024x768"x25.0 22.43 1024 1025 1088 1120 768 769 800 801 (20.0 kHz)
Any ideas?
thanks
Hamish
