I have tried xf86-video-nv 2.1.0 on a Geforce 7300 but Xrandr seems to
fall back on randr 1.1 on Debian Sid.

I get the following output:
$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 640 x 400, current 1600 x 1200, maximum 1600 x 1200
default connected 1600x1200+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   1600x1200 60.0*
   1280x1024 75.0 60.0
   1280x960 60.0

   1024x768 75.0 70.0 60.0
   832x624 75.0
   800x600 75.0 72.0 60.0 56.0
   720x400 70.0
   640x480 75.0 73.0 67.0 60.0
   1600x1024 60.0
   1400x1050 75.0 70.0 60.0
   1440x900 60.0
   1280x800 60.0
   1280x768 60.0

Does this mean that the driver supports RandR 1.2 only on Geforce 8xxx?

Regards,

Alberto
