Intel drivers on a default Ubuntu (7.04) install?

Put simply, there are 2 Intel drivers in Feisty:

1) "i810"
that is to say Intel's older driver which needs i915resolution to get
widescreen resolutions to work.

2) "intel"
Intel's modesettings driver, which doesn't need i915resolution (but has
other features as well). Unfortunately the package available on Feisty
is not the final release (2.0) but only an old experimental release (1.9.x).

Check the Section Device of your xorg.conf and you'll know which driver
you're using.
