Benchmarking 2D

Hi all,

Is there any application to benchmark 2D graphics in my PC?
I want to try and find the best options for my card (Radeon Mobility
7500) since I find it wierd to have X always eating 10-20% of my CPU
and not being able to use composite features like translucent windows
since things get sooooooooooooooooooooo slow...
