# uname -a
Linux Dual2007 2.6.18.8-0.3-default #1 SMP Tue Apr 17 08:42:35 \
UTC 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
# dmesg | grep agp
Linux agpgart interface v0.101 (c) Dave Jones
agpgart: Detected an Intel 965Q Chipset.
agpgart: Unknown page table size, assuming 512KB
agpgart: Detected 7676K stolen memory.
agpgart: AGP aperture is 256M @ 0xc0000000
# glxinfo
...
Direct rendering: No

I have installed and booted a vanilla 2.6.21.1 kernel,
but this does not seem to change anything.

The lockup is quite reproducible: I start the molecular
visualisation program PyMOL (which uses Tcl/Tk, Python and
OpenGL) and open a menu to start a demonstration which
shows a number of rotating objects. This works fine,
but when I try to open the menu again, the server
locks up.
