Intel G31 express integrated graphics

I recently bought a new motherboard with onboard graphics. I was under the
impression that intel integrated graphics were well supported in linux.
However it seems that this particular chipset (intel G31 express) is not
supported by the driver!
I searched google for information but I found nothing related. So is this
chipset not supported because it is new? When can I expect it to be
supported? I couldn't find any plans for the next release of the driver
that's why I'm asking here.
