This was broken handling on the autoconf side, the driver internal 
version was something else entirely. Now both will always be in sync.

This driver still is highly experimental, it is quite far from being 
production level. It still is meant for early adopters. We try to push 
code as often as we can, so just shipping this as 1.1.1 is bound to run 
into some trouble. It should've been shipped as git-<8char shaid> or 
git-<date>.

I'm sorry that this happened, this was an oversight when we created 
configure.ac. Neither of the two versions inside our driver got bumped, 
so we never even looked at these things.
