Synaptics and AlwaysCore vs SendCoreEvents

Hi,

I've always had my xorg.conf configured so that a mouse is the
CorePointer on my laptop, with my synaptics device configured in the
ServerLayout with the "AlwaysCore" setting.

After upgrading to xserver 1.4 my synaptics doesn't like AlwaysCore
anymore and simply doesn't work unless I use SendCoreEvents instead.

I guess all I'm asking here is, is AlwaysCore deprecated in xserver 1.4?
