I'm trying to install the IEGD drivers on an eee PC 901, (Intel
945GME chipset), so that I can use the full 1024 x 600
screen resolution. I obtained the 8.0.2 driver toolkit, created a
suitable Linux installation, and followed the instruction in the
user's guide carefully to install it. This is on Slax linux, i.e.
Slackware 12.0 (kernel 2.6.21.5)

The driver and IKM appear to compile and install correctly, and
iegd_gui shows
the driver is actually running. I have full resolution, and can
create nice large virtual desktops which pan automatically.

However, I receive the following errors from glxinfo, and similar
in Xorg.log:

LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
libGL: XF86DRIGetClientDriverName: 8.0.1147 iegd (screen 0)
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/iegd_dri.so
libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/iegd_dri.so failed
(/usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/iegd_dri.so: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory)
libGL error: unable to load driver: iegd_dri.so

I have checked the user guide again, checked through the driver
package, and searched high and low with google for any reference to
this file to no avail. This makes me suspect the file is not
supposed to exist, and I'm missing
something obvious... but the referenced directory does contain a
number of other xyz_dri.so libraries for other chipsets.

Any enlightenment very much appreciated!

Regards,
SH
