Video on notebook, no video on beamer

 Hello,

running KDE on the notebook with beamer the picture on lokal flat panel and 
the picture produced by the beamer are identical.

Playing videos (AVI, VOB etc) the picture on the lfp  is all the desktopstuff 
(kaffeine) and within the kaffeine-frame the video is running. The beamer 
produces kaffeine and the mouse, but no video. The video-frame is left blank 
(blue).
What is happening here and what to do about??
