X3100 performance issue

Thanks for the benchmark data.  There's definitely something wrong with my 
setup.   I do get a certain error message when starting any opengl program:

Failed to initialize TTM buffer manager.  Falling back to classic.

I searched a bit to find out more, and it seems that TTM is the Tungsten 
Graphics memory manager.  Does anyone know if this could be the source of the 
poor performance I'm seeing, or how to resolve this error?
