Mouse pointer locked up. Anyway to reset mouse while Xserver is running?

Thanks for the reply Peter. I sort of thought that I was clutching at straws,
in looking for an X solution to this problem, as it does appear that the
mouse needs to be physically disabled, as in a complete shutdown of the
machine.
I did set up a few keyboard shortcuts for continuing to use the Konsole when
the pointer is locked up, and also found Alt + F12, which allows mouse
emulation using the keyboard arrow keys to navigate. That works ok, when the
pointer is not stuck, and I'll have to try it next time the pointer sticks.
I couldn't find a man page for XChangeDeviceControl. Is there a man page under
a different heading perhaps for it's useage.
