Automagically populated list of videomodes.

I recently figured that the newer versions of Xorg are automagically 
populate the list of avaliable video modes. Either from a list of 
VESA modes or with DDC/EDID information.

However on some systems I'd like the system only provide the modes I 
configured manually and only those. So how can I get rid of those 
automatic entries?
