Once I finally realized that the new xserver wasn't logging in the same place, I
could verify I was ruinning my new Xserver!!

I can test my new software, at last!!

And, btw, that means I'm out of your hair for a while.  If/when I ever finish my
Xinput driver, I had a pretty fair list of Xinput modules I needed to bypass.  I
might go back to fixing them ... if I hadn't been unwilling to waste more time,
I could have fixed what I found, I think.  But, no time right now.
