I'm on Gentoo. X.Org 1.4.2 (7.3). It's exactly the same bug described
in Novell's bugzilla. Weird enough, I did not have the problem when
using SuSE (6.x to 9.x years ago, had XFree86) and openSUSE (10.0 to
10.3, after which I switched to Gentoo). In particular, Gentoo now is
installed on exactly the same machine where openSUSE 10.3 was installed
previously.

Also, the bug is always there in all three different machines I boot the
installed system in. Two physical and one virtual (VMWare). The bug is
there on every machine. And it's there in both kernel versions used in
this installation (2.6.24 and 2.6.25).
