I too do not think it would help, especially since I do not use any
acceleration. But if someone still thinks it is a good idea, I can try
it.

That brings me to the next (and rather xorg unrelated) point:
Once there exists a version where the bug is fixed, how can I update to
it while causing minimal confusion to my package manager?
