Hi list,
can someone fix (or help me fix) a permission issue with the writing
permissions on the directories within
/git/xorg/driver/xf86-input-synaptics.git/objects
There are several directories that are not writeable to the group (xorg)
and therefore I cannot push stuff. Here the log:
Counting objects: 15, done.
Compressing objects: 100% (10/10), done.
Writing objects: 100% (10/10), 8.62 KiB, done.
Total 10 (delta 5), reused 0 (delta 0)
error: unable to write sha1
filename ./objects/a8/5339684378fc3ab829a66bec4ccc108e491553: Permission
denied
fatal: failed to write object
error: unpack failed: unpacker exited with error code
To ssh://git.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/driver/xf86-input-synaptics
! [remote rejected] master -> master (n/a (unpacker error))
error: failed to push some refs to
'ssh://git.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/driver/xf86-input-synaptics'
This fails because these directories where created by Peter Hutterers
commits and are only writeable for him.
Is this a common problem? Do all the directories (00 to ff) have to be
"stubbed" out?
Thanks in advance,
Christoph Brill
