xkb: led activated when it should not be?

Just for info, I think you are describing bug 15359: 
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15359
(and the probable duplicate 
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15883 )

With xserver 1.4.2, on Linux, I have the same problem. The interesting 
thing is that if I do the same thing through xmodmap, then the led works 
fine.
