intel driver and max of 2048x2048

Hi All,

Is the intel driver still restricted to a maximum resolution of 2048x2048?

If so is it possible to be able to reconfigure the max res while still
keeping in the 4 million or so pixels to make use of some of the
bigger screens now days. EG I have a HP laptop with a screen res of
1680x1050, work has just got us all Dell 1680x1050 22inch monitors as
they're now so cheap but using xrandr I can't get it to run both so
I'm assuming it must be this restriction kicking in. Wondering whether
you can use a config option to specify a random combination 3320x1050
for eg which would still come in under the mem allocation that
2048x2048 does.

I'm using Fedora 9 which is running xserver 1.4.99.902-3.20080612.fc9
and intel driver 2.2.1. Not sure if its been resolved in the later
2.3.x series.

Contoller is Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express
Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

Cheers,
Peter
