Multimonitor on X11R7.3

Dear Alan,

 

We are able to get the Multimonitor modes - Clone and Expand using
xrandr1.2 on X11R7.3. This is the way of dynamically changing the
Multimonitor mode.

 

But we are not able to get the multimonitor mode statically by changing
the xorg.conf file and starting the X Server using startx.

Kindly let us know that whether it is possible to get clone/expand by
changing the xorg.conf.

 

We have the following display board: 915GM/GMS,910 GML Express Chipset.
