Tracing Xserver

Hi,

Is there a way to trace the functioning of Xserver possibly at different
levels like Terse, Verbose, some
specific subsystems like DRI, EXA etc. Besides being a useful debugging
tool, it would also be useful
to understand different parts of the code interact.
