Testing XvMC?

How can I get this to work?

I enabled Option "XvMC" "on" in xorg.conf and wrote /usr/lib/libIntelXvMC.so
into /etc/X11/XvMCConfig. Now the xorg log says it enabled xvmc.

mplayer was built with --enable-xvmc --with-xvmclib=XvMCW. It seems to find
xvmc but when playing it says:
Could not find matching colorspace

How can I find more about this? Or is there a different application I could
test it with? Where can I find more information about how to use XvMC?
