Testing XvMC?

yes.

mplayer manpage says -vo xvmc can only be used with -vc ffmpeg12mc
codec, so you may run with "mplayer -vo xvmc -vc ffmpeg12mc ...".
I also use "xine -V xvmc ...", not sure about vlc status.
