You shouldn't need anything: just start dumping releases in
annarchy.freedesktop.org:/srv/xorg.freedesktop.org/archive/individual/data/.

As regards the CVS -> git conversion, I think keithp or krh would be the
best people to ask, as they're the parsecvs wizards who did the X.Org
conversion for us.
