This is getting a little too Gentoo-specific, so I'd like to take any 
further discussion to the bug. The basic idea is that we don't want to 
build all the ABIs at once, because that requires specialized hacks in 
every ebuild. We want to add support to Portage to build for arbitrary 
ABIs and have them all installed simultaneously.
